Bath Time Fun with Crochet

Hello!

Its been really long since my last post...
Just got a bit busy with professional and social responsibilities; and lost time for hobbies!
Anyways, I am back to share a few picts of my latest crochet creations for bath time - a bath mitt and a soap saver massager.
I got these patterns from ravelry.
I am extremely sorry that I missed noting the links to these patterns. However, I will make sure that I share pattern links the next time when I make something from online patterns.

Happy Crocheting!!!

Pencil Inspired Crochet Pencil Case

Hello Friends!

I made this crochet pencil case from oswal cashmilon.
This project consumed less than 15 gm of pink yarn and just a few yards of black, white, and purple...

My sister's elder daughter - Ziana - loves this scrap yarn project, and she uses it to carry her crayons to the school...

Owl Beanie for Dviti

It is real fun crocheting gifts for your loved ones...

Made this for my niece Dviti using cotton yarn....

Pardon me for the white spots on the flap edge! The fabric glue did not dry, but I could not wait to click the snap till it dried ;-)...

Blue Matka Sling Bag

Hello friends!

This is my recently completed crochet project.

I started making a ruffled skirt for my niece. I found the yarn inappropriate and tapered it to make a basket. However, I dont use baskets frequently... So, added a button to close it and made a long strap to turn it to a sling bag!

I am happy that I finally completed this project!

The Little Doggy Back Pack

Last friday, I came to know that my cousin -from Bangalore- was coming to meet us on Saturday eve! I was super-excited! We were going to meet after a long time... But, I was a little disappointed too because she was returning back to Bangalore on Sunday morning :-( Moreover, her little son would be unable to accompany her in the trip.

Overcoming my disappointment, I decided that we will enjoy her short visit and I will send some cute gift for my nephew with her. I went to few local gift shops and searched for some unique toys. But, I was highly confused. My little nephew has most of those in his collection! So I returned back home with an empty shopping bag. Then I thought, "Why not crochet a small gift for him?" And finally I knew what to gift my nephew..."A Handmade Crochet Gift".

After I returned back home from work, I freshened-up, had my dinner, picked up a crochet hook and started playing with the yarn. I kept crocheting till I was sleepy and completed a small round base white bag before I slept. Next day morning, I picked up the bag to work up the bag handles. But when I picked it up, it did not appeal me. I felt that something was missing!

Finally, I ruled out the missing factor and made a doggy face flap over the draw-srting back pack to make it appealing. And my nephew has named it "The Little Doggy Back Pack"!

Hello!
I am super excited for this first crochet exhibit!
I made this little bag for my niece...

Introduction to Crochet Zone...

Hello friends!

This is Dr. Nile Desai!

I am an Indian female whose life is dedicated to arts and crafts...
My love for miniature art, made me a successful dental surgeon!
And today, I plan to start this blog to display and share with you my leisure time art and craft work!

I learnt to crochet from my mother (Mrs. Bakula Shukla) and my aunty (Ms. Usha Shukla) in my school days...
But then after, I got very busy with education, profession, and other social engagements...
One fine day, I was going through YouTube Videos on crochet patterns when my husband, Dr. Ankur Desai, saw a smile on my face and inquired whether I knew how to crochet. To this; I started sharing my childhood crochet experiences with him!

To my surprise, I received a set of 15 crochet hooks from my husband on my wedding anniversary!
Joy filled my heart, and tears filled my eyes...
Lucky to have a husband like him who explored my hobbies, and gifted me a new passion... "Passion to crochet"
Since then, I daily crochet for about few minutes to hours (depending on my other schedules).

Now that I am confident crocheting, I wish to display my small crochet creations in this zone!

Pardon me, as I am neither technically sound nor good at photography.
But still, I am filled with enthusiasm to give my level best...

Love,
Nile
